Tree Planting in Kabacki Forest in Warsaw with Himalaya

On 9th October 2024, a tree-planting event took place in Kabaty Forest in Warsaw, organised by the One More Tree Foundation in collaboration with the Himalaya company. Thanks to the dedication of numerous volunteers and the support of the company’s employees, 180 lime and maple saplings, each nearly a metre tall, were successfully planted. The collective effort yielded fantastic results, and each pair of helping hands contributed to the success of this special environmental initiative.

Tree planting – a simple step towards environmental protection

In the face of dynamic climate change and the challenges our planet faces, planting trees is one of the simplest yet most effective ways to support nature and enhance our quality of life. Trees perform extremely valuable functions: they absorb carbon dioxide, produce oxygen, and help regulate temperature and humidity, which mitigates the greenhouse effect.

The lime and maple trees planted in Kabaty Forest will not only enrich the local ecosystem, but will also contribute to improved air quality, prevent soil erosion, and create a habitat for various animal species. Locations like Kabaty Forest, close to urban areas, reap additional benefits, as trees improve the quality of life for nearby residents and enhance the appeal of the environment.

Working together for sustainable development

Sustainable development is a goal we should pursue on multiple fronts. Tree planting and other pro-environmental initiatives play a key role in combating global warming, biodiversity loss, and environmental degradation. One More Tree Foundation believes that collective action brings about real change. With partners like Himalaya, as well as private individuals, we can act more effectively for a better tomorrow.

Thank you to all participants for their involvement, and we encourage others to support our initiatives! Every new tree is a step towards a healthier planet, and actions like these show that together, we can do more for future generations.
