Planting flower bulbs with kindergarten children in Tenczynek on 6 November 2024
On 6 November 2024, the One More Tree Foundation organised an extremely joyful event in Tenczynek. Together with kindergarten children and local volunteers, we planted a flower meadow and planted flower bulbs in the kindergarten garden. This is a great initiative that will allow the children to see the results of their work in spring, when the first plants start to flower.
Support from IAG and Discover International
This action was made possible thanks to funds donated by IAG and Discover International. Their commitment and financial support made it possible to purchase flower meadow seeds and flower bulbs, which will make this project even more special.
Education through nature
Planting the plants became a great lesson in ecology for the little ones. The children learned how plants affect our environment and why nature conservation is so important. The preschoolers were able to sow the seeds and bury the bulbs with their own hands, which not only developed their manual skills, but also built a sense of responsibility for the nature around them. The joint activities in the garden brought a lot of joy and smiles, and at the same time showed that ecology can be great fun.
The importance of flower meadows
Flower meadows are an extremely important part of a sustainable landscape. They attract bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects, thus supporting local biodiversity. In addition, they are an aesthetic complement to public spaces, enriching them with unique colours and scents.
Summary
We would like to thank all participants, partners and sponsors for their commitment to this wonderful event. Planting a flower meadow and bulbs in Tenczynku is another step towards building a greener and more sustainable future. We hope that there will be more and more initiatives like this, with results that will please the eye for years to come.
