Planting flower bulbs with kindergarten children in Czerna on 7 November 2024
On 7 November 2024, the One More Tree Foundation organised another action with children, this time at the kindergarten in Czerna. Together with the kindergarten children, we established a flower meadow and planted flower bulbs in the kindergarten garden. It was an event full of joy, education and working together for the environment.
Support from IAG and Discover International
This ecological initiative was made possible thanks to the financial support of IAG and Discover International. Their contribution made it possible to purchase seeds for the flower meadow and flower bulbs that will already bring colourful results in the spring.
Education through nature
For the children, participating in the planting was a great lesson in ecology and cooperation. The preschoolers were able to learn about the important role of plants in our ecosystem and how we can influence the environment around us. Planting plants also taught them responsibility and patience, as they have to wait until spring for the results of this work.
Working together was not only educational, but also extremely rewarding. The preschoolers proudly talked about their activities, which certainly sparked their curiosity and desire to learn more about nature.
The importance of flower meadows
Flower meadows are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also provide practical support for biodiversity. They attract pollinating insects such as bees and butterflies, supporting local ecosystems. Such initiatives make urban spaces greener, more colourful and friendlier for both people and animals.
Summary
We would like to thank the kindergarten children, the volunteers and our partners for their support and commitment. Together we have managed to create another green place that will please the eye and support the ecosystem for years to come. We hope that there will be more and more initiatives like this and that the children will take away not only knowledge, but also beautiful memories.
