Planting 1,500 trees in the Municipality of Łęczna during the ecological festivities on 14 March 2025
On 14 March, the Podzamcze Park in Łęczna hosted a unique ecological fete, during which we launched a great tree planting campaign. Together with residents, students of local schools and partners of the event, we planted the first seedlings from an impressive pool of 1500 trees, which will soon enrich the landscape of the Łęczna Municipality. This is another step towards a greener, friendlier space for residents and nature.
An ecological festival full of commitment
The ecological fete was not only an opportunity to work together for the benefit of nature, but also a source of a huge dose of positive energy and knowledge. During the event, participants took part in a training course on how to plant trees properly, which enabled them to gain valuable skills and understand the importance of caring for green spaces.
Together, we enriched the Municipality with 6 species of trees, including: beech, alder, maple, cherry, hornbeam and lime. Each of these species will not only beautify the surroundings, but will also have a positive impact on the local microclimate and biodiversity.
Why are such initiatives important?
Environmental festivals and tree planting events are an excellent way to integrate communities and raise environmental awareness. It is not only an opportunity for real action for the environment, but also education in practice – for both children and adults. Through such events, we learn how to take care of nature and together create a greener and friendlier environment. Trees not only produce oxygen, but also improve air quality, reduce noise and provide shelter for birds and insects. Every sapling planted is a step towards a healthier future!
Large-scale action
This is just the start of the action! More trees will be planted in three locations: a park, a ravine and a relaxation corner, creating even more green spaces for local residents. By getting involved together, we can make a real difference to air quality, biodiversity and the quality of life in the municipality.
