A Blooming Future for Swarzędz – Currency One Plants Trees and Creates a Wildflower Meadow for Nature
On April 26, 2025, a unique ecological event took place in Swarzędz, organized by Currency One. This time, it wasn’t just about planting trees—we also created a space that will become a haven for wildlife: a wildflower meadow, full of colorful plants that will attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
A Green Oasis in Swarzędz
The initiative involved 25 people who, over the course of a few hours, planted 40 trees and sowed flower seeds that will soon transform the area into a vibrant, living meadow. The trees—including maples, oaks, and beeches—will grow for decades, offering shade and improving air quality. The wildflower meadow, in turn, is intended to become a space full of color and fragrance, supporting local biodiversity.
Wildflower Meadows – An Eco-Friendly Step Toward the Future
Wildflower meadows are one of the most effective ways to protect pollinators, which are crucial to maintaining ecosystem balance. Unfortunately, pollinator populations are declining every year due to the loss of natural habitats. By establishing wildflower meadows, we not only protect bees, but also create habitats for many other wild creatures. It’s a step toward preserving healthy ecosystems that are essential for our survival.

The 40 trees planted during the event will grow for decades, standing as a symbol of long-term change. Trees are natural oxygen producers and absorb carbon dioxide, helping in the fight against climate change. Moreover, they provide shelter for birds, insects, and other wildlife, creating a healthy and balanced environment.
