“Natural Soaps” Workshop in Rybnik – August 28, 2025
On August 28, 2025, we had the pleasure of organizing a special workshop in Rybnik for the residents of the Home for Mothers with Minor Children and Pregnant Women. Together with us, they discovered the secrets of making natural soaps. The meeting was not only an opportunity to learn new skills but also a moment of relaxation and integration in a friendly atmosphere.
Ecological handicraft – learning and practice
During the workshop, participants:
- learned about the properties of glycerin base and its ecological potential,
- practiced techniques of melting and pouring the base into molds,
- experimented with natural dyes, fragrances, and additives – from oils and plant extracts to propolis and natural exfoliants,
- created their own handmade, unique soaps.
Each participant took home a set of soaps she had prepared herself, which will serve as a daily reminder that ecology begins with small choices.
Why do we choose natural solutions?
Making soaps from ecological ingredients is more than just a creative activity. It is a concrete alternative to mass-produced cosmetics, which often contain artificial additives and harmful chemicals. By choosing natural solutions:
- we reduce the amount of plastic in the form of packaging,
- we support local and safe raw materials,
- we show that everyday care can be environmentally friendly.
These workshops are an example that caring for the planet starts in our own homes and bathrooms. Every piece of natural soap is a small step towards a healthier planet.
Education that inspires
For the participants, the meeting was not only a practical lesson but also an opportunity to talk about everyday ecology. We discussed how choosing simple, reusable, and natural products can reduce the amount of waste in our surroundings. Just like during green area clean-up actions, here too the point was to change perspective – to realize that small actions really matter.
The workshop in Rybnik was also part of the “Green Pulse of Silesia” project, which we implement in cooperation with Stellantis. Thanks to this, we can regularly organize activities that combine ecological education, integration, and care for the environment.
Community and support
The workshops also had a social dimension. The shared creation of natural soaps became an opportunity for integration, mutual motivation, and the exchange of experiences. We wanted each participant to feel that she has a real impact on her life and the environment, and that she is part of a larger community caring for the future.
Ecology in everyday life
Our experience shows that ecology does not have to be a big slogan. It is everyday choices – such as choosing natural soap instead of synthetic – that change our surroundings for the better. Every workshop is a step towards conscious, more responsible living.
We believe that such meetings have tremendous power. We left Rybnik convinced that the participants took with them more than just soaps – they took inspiration, knowledge, and energy for small changes that together make a big difference.
