Cleaning Green Areas with LyondellBasell in Poznań on September 3, 2025
On September 3, 2025, we organized another edition of our environmental campaign. This time we met in Poznań, where together with the LyondellBasell team, as part of an employee volunteering initiative, we cleaned the areas along Magazynowa Street and the surrounding green spaces.
The event brought together eight volunteers, who in just a few hours collected around 20 bags of waste. Our goal was not only to clean up the area but also to show that even a small group of people can make a real impact on the environment and the quality of life in the city.
Initiatives like this demonstrate how combining employee engagement with corporate commitment can create a tangible, positive effect on nature and local communities.
Why Cleaning Matters
Environmental pollution, especially from plastic waste, is one of the most pressing challenges of our time. Garbage accumulating in urban green areas threatens animals, soil, and water, and its decomposition can take hundreds of years.
During the event, we discussed the reasons behind littering. We reflected on why people leave trash behind, what habits could change this, and whether each of us sorts our waste on a daily basis. Such conversations help raise ecological awareness and strengthen our sense of shared responsibility for the spaces we live in.
