Cleaning the Vistula Riverside with Edwards – September 22, 2025
On September 22, 2025, we organized a cleanup of the green areas between the Poniatowski and Łazienkowski bridges in Warsaw, in cooperation with Edwards. The event gathered 10 dedicated participants, who together collected around 25 bags of waste. The goal of our initiative was not only to clean up the riverside recreational areas but also to raise ecological awareness among participants and passersby.
For several hours, we worked together to tidy up a space that serves the city’s residents for walks and relaxation. The collaboration took place in a wonderful atmosphere – with enthusiasm, a sense of purpose, and the awareness that every piece of litter collected is a real step toward a cleaner city. At the end of the day, the difference was visible – the area became more pleasant, safer, and friendlier both for people and for nature.
Why cleaning green areas matters
Litter left in nature is not only an aesthetic issue – it’s a real threat to animals, plants, and entire ecosystems. Plastic, glass, or metal can take hundreds of years to decompose, polluting soil and water and destroying the natural habitats of many species. By acting together with Edwards, we showed that environmental responsibility begins with simple, local actions.
Our cleanup was also a reminder that each of us has an impact on the environment around us. It takes just a bit of time and energy to improve the quality of the spaces we all share. Through this joint effort, we created more than just order – we built a community of people who care about the common good.
Education through action
We believe that the best way to build pro-environmental attitudes is through practical action. During the event, participants could see how important it is to care for public spaces and how easily anyone can get involved in protecting the environment – all it takes is willingness, initiative, and cooperation.
Experiences like this foster sensitivity toward our surroundings and remind us that ecology is not only about large projects or global programs but also about everyday decisions and small gestures that together create real change. It is in these moments, spent close to nature, that genuine environmental awareness begins to grow.
Long-term impact of such initiatives
Our efforts along the Vistula were more than just a one-time cleanup – they were a symbolic step toward a more sustainable city and a responsible community. Every such action increases public awareness, inspires others to take part, and shows that joint initiatives truly matter.
We believe that small, consistent actions lead to major change – cleaner spaces, healthier ecosystems, and greater respect for nature. Our cooperation with Edwards proved that business and social organizations can effectively join forces for the environment, setting an example for others and building positive relationships based on care for the common good.
It was a day full of commitment, positive energy, and the belief that together we can truly make a difference – for Warsaw, for nature, for all of us.
