Educational Environmental Workshops in Schools in Imielin and Knurów on September 25–26, 2025
On September 25 and 26, 2025, we visited more Silesian schools to spread ecological passion among the youngest generation. This time, we went to Imielin and Knurów, so that students could experience what hands-on environmental education truly means – as part of the Green Pulse of Silesia project, carried out together with Stellantis.
A Lesson You Can Touch
You can’t really teach ecology – you have to experience it, preferably with your own hands. That’s why we organize workshops where students plant greenery, build insect hotels, and talk about nature.
Imielin: Learning from Nature in Practice
In Imielin, young people became gardeners and naturalists for a day. They planted heathers and parlor palms and built shelters for pollinating insects. Along the way, we talked about the importance of balance in nature and how everyone can support it – at home, on the balcony, or in a school garden.
Knurów: Greenery for Health and Well-Being
A day later, we met with students in Knurów, turning their classroom into a fragrant, green garden – soil on the floor, plenty of laughter, and a great dose of positive energy. As always, we planted heathers and palms while talking about the benefits of plants – how greenery calms the mind, boosts energy, and helps with concentration.
Small Actions, Big Change
We want our workshops to be more than just single events – we aim to spark curiosity and show that caring for the environment can be a natural part of everyday life. That’s how we imagine environmental education: young people learning through action and discovering that even the smallest plant can make a difference to the world around us.
Thank You!
Huge thanks to all the students, teachers, and school staff in Imielin and Knurów for their openness, energy, and engagement. We also thank Stellantis, whose support makes it possible for Green Pulse of Silesia to inspire the next generation to take practical care of nature.
