Educational Environmental Workshop at the School in Mikołów on September 29, 2025
Did you know that just a few plants in a classroom can improve concentration, purify the air, and make learning more enjoyable? The students of Primary School No. 6 in Mikołów experienced it firsthand!
On September 29, 2025, we visited them with another edition of the Green Pulse of Silesia project, carried out together with Stellantis.
A Lesson You Plant, Not Write Down
This time, textbooks gave way to flowerpots, and pens were replaced with trowels. During the workshop, children planted heathers and parlor palms, learning about their fascinating qualities.
While planting, we talked about how ecology begins with mindfulness – observing how nature works and how we can support it in everyday life. No grand gestures are needed – just a bit of soil, water, and care.
Green Fun and Lots of Laughter
During the workshop, the classroom turned into a miniature garden studio – a little soil on the tables, a sparkle in the eyes, and plenty of joy. The children enthusiastically planted, asked how to care for their plants, and checked if a palm could really grow in the classroom.
Instead of a regular biology lesson, it became an adventure they could literally feel beneath their fingertips.
Small Plants, Big Changes
Workshops like this are not only about learning ecology – they are about community, creativity, and empowerment. When children see that their actions make a difference – that their classroom becomes greener and more welcoming – they develop a sense of responsibility for the world around them.
We sincerely thank all the students, teachers, and staff of Primary School No. 6 in Mikołów for their curiosity and enthusiasm! And of course, we thank Stellantis, whose support allows the Green Pulse of Silesia project to flourish in more schools and inspire young people to act in tune with nature.
