Planting Shrubs and Flower Bulbs at the “Razem na Bytomskiej” Day Care Center in Zabrze on October 24, 2025
On October 24 in Zabrze, the weather tried to stop us – but even the rain couldn’t hold us back! That day, we planted dozens of shrubs and hundreds of flower bulbs, creating a green space around the “Razem na Bytomskiej” Day Care Center.
Energy and Purpose Above All
A fantastic team of Stellantis volunteers showed up on site. Mud on the boots? No problem. Smiles? All day long!
Theory from Us, Practice from the Seniors
Before the shovels hit the ground, we began with a short talk – explaining what and why we were planting. Then came practice! It was the seniors from the Day Care Center who, following our guidance, demonstrated how to expertly place the bulbs into specially prepared pots. A perfect warm-up for the hands – and a great precision exercise before planting outdoors!
A Green Relaxation Zone Behind the Building
Shovels, trowels, and dibbers were all in motion. Planting the shrubs required both strength and care. The new greenery was planted behind the building, where it will soon form a peaceful relaxation area for the Center’s residents – surrounded by benches, an insect house, and other plants.
We didn’t forget the front! Shrubs and bulbs also appeared along Bytomska Street – adding a burst of color in spring.
Small Gestures, Big Impact
After finishing the work, it was time to rest: a warm drink, something sweet, and conversations about gardening, hobbies, and teamwork. It was a day full of energy, joy, and genuine engagement. Together, we created a space that will not only decorate the area but also encourage connection, rest, and relaxation.
