Planting Several Thousand Bulbs and Sowing a Flower Meadow in Gliwice on 6 November 2025
On 6 November 2025, Gliwice became a meeting place for local residents, students and the volunteer team from Stellantis Gliwice. The Green Pulse of Silesia project – with Stellantis as its partner and patron – created the space for collective action. Across 600 m², we planted several thousand plants, laying the groundwork for a blooming flower meadow to enjoy in spring.
Two Locations, One Goal
We worked in two areas of the city: in Łabędy near Narutowicza Street, and in the Obrońców Pokoju district, around Strzelnicza and Paderewskiego streets.
Today, these areas appear calm and quiet – but underground, preparations are already underway for a springtime display of colors, scents and buzzing life.
Plants That Do More Than You Might Expect
Tulips, crocuses, ornamental garlic, glory-of-the-snow, daffodils and white grape hyacinths were planted. The goal was not only visual beauty, but above all a steady source of food for insects – from the very first days of spring through to late summer.
In urban environments, this is especially important, as pollinators have fewer feeding grounds. Thanks to initiatives like this, spring in Gliwice will be colorful and welcoming for bees and butterflies alike.

Green Pulse of Silesia proves that when people come together to plant greenery, they are also planting something more: relationships, awareness and care for the places they live.
The seed mix spread across 600 m² looked like green confetti – except this confetti will transform into a vibrant, living space full of insects, scents and colors come spring.
