Port of Gdańsk & One More Tree

Port of Gdańsk, in collaboration with our One More Tree Foundation, carried out an initiative to plant 600 oak saplings in the Górki Zachodnie district of Gdansk on 25 March 2024. Through such actions, the company not only assists in forest restoration but also actively contributes to reducing carbon dioxide emissions and improving air quality.

Environmental Protection Collaboration with Port of Gdańsk

Established in 1998 as a commercial entity, the Port of Gdańsk operates under the legal framework provided by the Act on sea ports and harbours and the Code of Commercial Companies Continuing the legacy of its predecessors in managing the port grounds in Gdańsk the company's shareholders include the State Treasury the Gdańsk Gmina and eligible employees.

The Port of Gdańsk is engaged in various activities which encompass management of property and port infrastructure forecasting programming and planning of port development execution of construction expansion maintenance and modernization projects related to port infrastructure acquisition of property to support port development initiatives and provision of services related to the utilization of port infrastructure notably ensuring fire protection for managed facilities and areas from the water side providing fire protection for ships and other floating vessels within the port waters roadstead or anchorage and facilitating access to port waste collection facilities for vessels to dispose of waste for recycling or neutralization purposes.
